Pole pruner course one day if the candidate already has the cross-cutting and maintenance qualification. If not, it is a two-day course.

To be able to use a chainsaw in a tree from a rope and harness. You must have a certificate for cross-cutting, maintenance and felling small trees up to 380.00mm diameter.

Aerial / Tree Access Training

These courses cover safe access, rescue, and cutting techniques while working at height in trees.

Courses include:

  • Accessing a Tree & Aerial Rescue

  • Aerial Cutting of Trees with a Chainsaw

  • chainsaw qualification felling trees up to 380.00 diameter is a prerequisite.

  • Aerial Tree Pruning

  • Aerial Tree Rigging

  • Safe use of a MEWP

  • Use of a chainsaw from a MEWP

Candidate Requirements

  • Bring your own tools & equipment, in good working order and meet PUWER Regulations.

  • (If you cannot bring them, we may be able to provide or hire them - please contact us.)

  • Joining Instructions specific to your course will be sent out to you. This will include specific PPE requirements, Date and time of the course and location, etc.

  • Bring a packed lunch and drinks.

  • Bring wet weather gear - courses will run in the rain unless conditions are unsafe.

When you take Chipper or Stump Grinder courses, we provide the machines you’ll use.

We offer a full range of Lantra-approved, integrated training + assessment courses, including:

If there is a course that you want to do but is not showing on the site. Please get in touch with the office, and we will try and accommodate.

In-house training can be done at the client’s premises if they wish. We are flexible both ways. Ash Arb is countrywide, so travelling isn’t a problem to meet our customers' needs.

Full payment is required before course commencement. Minimum notice is one week so that paperwork can be registered with Lantra and workbooks and paperwork can be sent out. Please call the office if you require special payments terms to meet your operational needs.
